Referrals

Referrals to specialty providers for initial evaluation and continued care are handled by the office and often require an appointment. Some referrals may require you to call your insurer (or check their website) for a list of covered in-network providers.

Imaging, lab testing, and other ancillary services may be ordered as part of your care plan — check with your insurer for preferred facilities.

Prescription medications and pharmacy refill coordination

Prescription refills are generally handled at appointments and authorized or discussed during the visit. For medications prescribed by Family Medical Center, contact your pharmacy to request a refill; refills are authorized per office policy.
